Smoking Monkey

The company Adrenaline Rush opened the smoke shop / tattoo shop located on Ferry St in the Ironbound of Newark NJ in 1999 and served the community until 2012, when it was purchased by the current owner and renamed to The Smoking Monkey and Ink Bound Tattoos.

The owners of Adrenaline Rush reached out to the now owner of Smoking Monkey (Rob) as they were tired of the business and wanted out.  Rob having a passion for cannabis jumped at the opportunity.  Seeing so few options in the area for quality cannabis accessories, Rob made it his mission to revitalize the shop and provide the people of the Newark area top quality products in the cannabis space.

Each of the products carried at The Smoking Monkey go through a “shelf test”.  We purchase a few of the items and try them out amongst our staff and compare notes to determine if the product is “shelf worthy”.  We do this so we know everything that we are selling and more importantly you can know everything that you’re spending your hard-earned money on.

We are very excited to be able to offer a wider selection of products then are available in store.  We have been serving the community of Newark since 1999 and are very happy to add you to our family customers.
